Gillespie Equestrian

Graham Gillespie first started riding 40 years ago, and has been involved with horses ever since.
When he was 14, he captained the Kirkintilloch and Campsie mounted games team and won the Prince Phillip Cup at Horse Of The Year Show.

Then two years later he was, and still is, the only Scot to have won leading Junior Show Jumper Of The Year. He has jumped on teams for Britain as a young rider; Scotland as a Senior rider, and competed up to a National level.

Nicola, his daughter, runs the family business. She competes in the Uk at advanced medium/advanced level in Dressage. She trains with Ralph Michael Rash and Frank Mohr in Germany with her Prix St George stallion MULTISTAR and an exceptionally talented 8 year old FEARLESS. Nicola is training at Grand Prix level this year with Multistar and a new horse called Christobal, in Germany.

Gillespie - Equstrian horses are ridden by Michael Whitaker; it was at HOYS when Graham was riding Prince Of Wales in the Foxhunter final that the partnership began.
Michael wanted to buy Prince Of Wales but Graham wanted to keep him, so he sold him half and let Michael ride him from there and so the partnership between Gillespies and Whitakers snowballed.

Gillespie Equestrian have had many successful horses.

Horses that Gillespie - Equestrian have had success with are; Prince Of Wales, Conquest, Rockafella, Catapullt, Calvaro Z, Fleur, Anastacia, Sandy, Abrisca , Wertherroschen, Its Otto,  Up To Date 8 and the number one horse in Britain Portofino!

Gillespie - Equestrian have supported British showjumping for many years and have had horses in numerous Nation Cup teams, European finals, World Cup finals, World Equestrian Games and had three out of the four horses at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Gillespie Equestrian not only have successful showjumpers and dressage horses but also race horses in training with Gary Moore in Brighton.

Lastly Gillespie-Equestrian have three top showjumpers that they are planning to breed with this year. This site will be updated with the progress...

It is at this point Graham and Nicola wish to thank their long time friend of 20 years Ernst HofshrÖer . He has found most of their horses and success at this level would not have been possible without him.
